Lunatic Joy Behar demonstrates tyranny of the Left: Anyone who merely SUPPORTS Trump should be thrown in jail, she says

Ordinarily, we wouldn’t pay much attention to Joy Behar, one of the perpetually angry Leftist women on the daytime anti-POTUS Donald Trump hatefest program “The View.” But she said something this past week that merits our attention because it has negative implications for the future of our country far beyond her words.

On Thursday, Behar and the other members of The View panel were reacting to comments by retiring Sen. Orrin Hatch, R-Utah who dismissed news that prosecutors are implicating POTUS Trump in alleged crimes committed by his former personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

Fellow panelist and Leftist Whoopi Goldberg commented, “I don’t know if you can drain the swamp,” a reference to one of the president’s 2016 campaign slogans.

Behar chimed in. “I don’t know if you saw this. I don’t know if you saw this clip of Orrin Hatch, the esteemed so-called senator from Utah.

“The reporter said the president, Michael Cohen, the president, they might have committed crimes, you know. ‘I don’t care,’ he said. ‘The president’s doing a good job.’ Where have we come when a senator from Utah is saying I don’t care if he committed a crime,” Behar — who has yet to comment on former President Obama’s criminal abuses of the Justice System, the ATF, the IRS, and the Intelligence Community — lamented.

And never mind that POTUS Trump hasn’t even been charged with anything, only ‘implicated’ — and by a man who’s trying to save himself a lot more jail time.

Abby Huntsman added, “That’s not what he said under [former President Bill] Clinton”  — who actually committed the very obvious crime of perjury when he lied to Congress about his sexual relationship with then-White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Behar responded, “Don’t they care about democracy anymore?” Then, after returning from a commercial break, she said of Hatch, “He is going out of office. He has nothing to lose by speaking truth to power about Trump. Why does he say even if he commits a crime it’s okay?

“Maybe he needs to go to jail, too.”

Dangerous attitude

So it wasn’t what Behar said, per se; she often says inane, nonsensical things while engaging in copious amounts of hypocrisy by ignoring behavior by Democrats who are either suspected or guilty of committing nefarious offenses.

No, what stands out here is the sentiment behind her words: That people whom she doesn’t like should be seen as guilty of whatever they’ve been accused of, even if they’ve been accused by a highly partisan, politically compromised Deep State.

If Behar and the rest of the authoritarian Left had their way, the nearly 65 million American voters who cast ballots for POTUS Trump are co-conspirators and thus equally guilty for those pretend crimes he has been accused of committing.

As such, not only shouldn’t they be permitted to participate in our electoral process but that by their very choice of president, they ought to be punished through the loss of their freedom.

What Behar did not say — of course — is that Hatch was reacting to allegations, not actual charges and not actual evidence. Hatch knows that Cohen was cooperating with special counsel Robert Mueller because he wanted a reduced sentence. He also knows that Cohen was guilty of violations of banking and tax laws (and he even pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance laws though he didn’t violate any campaign finance laws).

And he also knows that if Cohen really had something on the president, Mueller would not have let him be charged and instead would have put him on the witness stand in a direct legal case against Trump.

All of this is above Behar’s level of understanding because she’s a blind Left-wing partisan and doesn’t really care what is and is not true regarding our president.

But there is danger behind her Leftist attitude that political opponents should be persecuted and punished simply for differences of opinion.
